Remote Therapeutic Monitoring

Asthma Monitoring for
Pediatric Clinicians
Flow Digital Health is a remote monitoring platform for pediatric asthma that provides continuous visibility between visits. Weekly patient check-ins generate structured data on symptoms, asthma control, and environmental triggers - all in one place before the next appointment.

Problem Statement
The vast majority of
acute asthma attacks have an environmental trigger

There are 5 million children in the U.S. living with asthma, and air quality can both trigger symptoms and cause attacks.
More than 85% of patients are sensitive to environmental triggers, many of which can be predicted days in advance.

Environmental triggers are predictable 24-72 hours in advance, creating an opportunity to anticipate risk before symptoms escalate.
About Flow Digital Health
Continuous pediatric asthma monitoring, built for clinical care

Powered by Trace AQ’s proprietary Air Quality Analytics (AQA) Engine
Advanced air quality forecasting connects real-time and predicted environmental data to each patient’s symptoms — identifying triggers and surfacing personalized risk.
Flow Digital Health connects patient-reported data, asthma assessments, and real-time air quality insights into one unified platform.
A complete view of patient risk between visits. Symptom trends, asthma control scores, and air quality drivers in one place — with clear signals to identify changes early and take action.

Underlying Technology
The Prediction Engine
Flow Digital Health is built on the bedrock IP developed by Trace Air Quality and the University of Utah.
Trace AQ developed a physics-based AI model called the Air Quality Analytics (AQA) Engine. Our central forecast workflow ingests a wide array of air quality–relevant datasets, processes them using physics-based approaches and data-driven modeling techniques, and outputs state-of-the-art predictions of air quality several days into the future.
